Sun Village Cofresi and Sun Village Juan Dolio were finally lost through foreclosures in 2009.
The main players blame each other for the losses. This information provided may help you to make up your own mind.
After purchasing a couple of units at Maxim Bungalows Sun Village Cofresi in January 2008, I have been trying to follow and understand all the wrangling over the collapsed project. I still don't see how someone like me can see any compensation (and I am frankly giving up on that dream).
It is not evident that an effective class action case (or cases) is available for me to join (or at least be on a mailing list). Anyone have a suggestion?
But I also don't see how I can get closure by having a document or letter that tells me my investment is gone. Before the taxman will even entertain any claim for capital loss, I am going to need proof that my money is unrecoverable and that my ownership papers have no residual value.
Anyone out there know to whom to direct a registered letter or otherwise get some closure that would satisfy the taxman?
